Job Title: Utility – Waste Treatment
Reports To: Waste Treatment Manager

I. Position Purpose:
Assists the Waste Treatment Manager in the operation of the Waste Treatment system and keeps the filters on the system clean and operating properly to help insure that production and quality goals are met. Specific duties include but are not limited to operating the waste treatment system, cleaning and the filters, moving chemicals to the waste treatment facility, maintaining the acid supply at the production lines and making chemical adds at the Waste Treatment system as directed.

Performance Measurements:
Insures that the filters are properly cleaned and maintained
Insures that all waste is processed on a daily basis through the treatment system
Insures that all empty totes and drums are cleaned and stored properly
Safely makes chemical adds at the Waste Treatment Plant as directed
Moves and stores plant wide chemistry
Works all scheduled regular and overtime hours.

II. Essential Job Functions
Cleans and repacks the filters on the prescribed schedule
Moves chemicals to the Waste Treatment Plant as directed
Makes chemical adds at the Waste Treatment Plant as directed
Operates the waste treatment system
Cleans empty totes and drums and stores them properly
Replenishes acids at the production lines as required
Properly fills out all paperwork.
Performs daily housekeeping at Waste Treatment, the tote/drum wash area and in the surrounding areas to meet 5S
standards
Operates lift trucks and other equipment in a safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.

III. Minimum Requirements
Able to lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
Able to read and follow written instructions
Able to operate computer equipment related to shop operations
Achieve lift truck operator certification
High school or equivalent degree
