2014 Off To A Productive Start
The first 6 months of 2014 have proven to be very productive period for the Industrial Foundation. We have shared in the groundbreaking of Hendrickson USA on North Black Branch Road, the sale of Accumetric LLC to Soudal and we are eagerly watching the progress of the new KY Career Center/EHCIF Office Building.
We have several facilities that are currently under expansion and we are excited about the prospect of what the future holds for economic development in Elizabethtown.
We have new facility managers in the area—Janice Worden from Dow Corning, Sean Mason, Altec and Lannie Overton with Precision Roller Bearing Company. In addition, John Dennis, has been named the new Business Head of Flex Films.
As some of you may be aware, the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation recently joined social media and has their own Facebook page. Please check us out https://www.facebook.com/eifky !
We also have a “news” section on our website ( www.eifky.org ) and we want to make both venues available to your company for job postings, success stories, employees awards, community involvement activities and articles, etc. Please feel free to email Cherri at assistant@eifky.org with any items that you would like for us to share.
We are proud of the manufacturing/service providers that call Elizabethtown home and want to share your successes and assist you where we can.
The Hardin County Facility Mangers Association will re-group and hold their first meeting of the 2014-2015 year on August 21. If you have not been a member in the past and are interested in joining, please contact us. We meet for lunch one a month and welcome guest speakers with programs of interest to our community. The dues are only $25 a year. Please join us.
Also, the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation Training Consortium is beginning to kick off a new year. This is a great avenue for your company to get the specialized training that you may need to further enhance your operations. This consortium was organized as a partnership between the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation, the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and member industries. We have many members that have been involved since the beginning of this group over 25 years ago. This group meets once a month in the Workforce Solutions Department at ECTC to discuss training needs. If you would like more information on membership, please feel free to contact our office.
In closing, I want to remind all that if you are considering an expansion of your facility, adding new equipment or additional workforce and want to explore the possibility of receiving incentives, contact me so that I can arrange a meeting with you to discuss further. We need to get with you in the initial planning stage to see if you qualify.
If you feel that there are in additional ways in which we here at EHCIF can assist you, please give us a call or send us an email. I can be reached at rgames@eifky.org and Cherri can be reached at cherri@eifky.org. We would love to hear from you.
