A Message from EHCIF President Rick Games
This time of year is a time of reflection and celebration, and as we reflect on economic growth in 2018, the Elizabethtown-Hardin County community certainly has cause to celebrate.
With several companies expanding and creating new jobs, employment among Elizabethtown manufacturers and supporting industries has grown to over 9,500. We also have enjoyed tremendous commercial growth including new dining and recreation options. A particular point of pride for the industrial foundation in 2018 was the opening of Pritchard Parkway, which not only improves the traffic flow and marketability of T.J. Patterson Industrial Park, but also demonstrates the strength of our partnership with the City of Elizabethtown.
Yes, we are fortunate, but such activity is not possible without partnerships and the hard work of so many — from our facility managers, to our government leaders, to our educators, to those in the nonprofit sector and many other community partners. We thank each of these partners for their commitment to an even brighter future for the members of our community.
As 2018 comes to a close, we wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May you find peace and joy during this special season. We look forward to working with you and fostering another year of economic growth and prosperity in 2019.
