A Message from Rick Games, President

Rick GamesAs 2015 came to a close, it was very obvious that Elizabethtown enjoyed an exceptional year of economic growth.  Several new retail establishments have located in our city.  In addition, expansions are planned, underway or just completed by local industries.  Some of the companies involved include Metalsa, Akebono, Altec, Soudal/Accumetric, Atlas Development Group, and Hendrickson USA.  The unemployment rate for Hardin County for the past few months is averaging 4.5%.  A rate that has not been this low since 2007.
Elizabethtown/Hardin County was recently recognized in Southern Business and Development Magazine’s THE 2015 BEST of ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE AMERICAN SOUTH and earlier in the year was recognized in their TEN OUTSTANDING MARKETS DRIVING LARGE MSA ECONOMIES.  Area Development Magazine recognized the Elizabethtown/Fort Knox MSA as achieving top rankings in six categories of their 100 LEADING LOCATIONS FOR 2015.  An article published in “Law Street” earlier this year sites data from the FBI as Elizabethtown, KY being the “Safest Metro Area in the South”.
2016 is shaping up to be just as good…..
