Baptist Health Hardin Hosts April Facility Managers Meeting and Pavilion Tour

The Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation (EHCIF) gathered with industry leaders for the April Facility Managers Meeting, hosted at Baptist Health Hardin. The meeting included updates from local leaders and concluded with a behind-the-scenes tour of the impressive new Baptist Health Hardin Medical Pavilion.
Andy Games, President and COO of EHCIF, opened the meeting by highlighting upcoming workforce initiatives, including planning for October’s Manufacturing Month and outreach related to local school career fairs. He also shared efforts to revitalize the Career Skills Program at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College to better serve transitioning military personnel. Games also shared information about a new statewide economic development campaign aimed at spotlighting local industries.
Following Andy’s remarks, Baptist Health Hardin President Rob Ramey shared the significance of the hospital’s expansion and its impact on the region. While the new Medical Pavilion is a major milestone, it marks just the beginning of a long-term plan to modernize and grow the hospital’s footprint. With projections indicating the need for a 300-bed facility, Baptist Health Hardin is working to improve access to care and recruit top-tier medical professionals to meet the demands of a rapidly growing community.
“As we continue to grow, our focus is on providing the right facilities, the right technology, and attracting the right physicians,” Ramey said. “When you put the latest tools in the hands of talented medical professionals, the level of care we can deliver becomes truly transformative for this region.”
Tom Carrico, Vice President and COO of Baptist Health Hardin, added context to the hospital’s growth, citing a sharp rise in inpatient volume, up nearly 30% in just two years. This extraordinary trend underscores the need for expanded inpatient capacity and continued investment. Baptist Health has already exceeded its initial five-year commitment by investing over $225 million into facility improvements and advanced technology.
EHCIF extends its appreciation to Baptist Health Hardin for hosting and providing an in-depth look at the Medical Pavilion, which represents a shared commitment to the future health and prosperity of our community.
