ECTC INFORMATION SESSIONS ABOUT “WORK READY SCHOLARSHIP” FOR TUITION-FREE COLLEGE CREDENTIALS
Starting this Fall, Kentucky residents who haven’t yet earned a college degree may qualify for the Work Ready Scholarship for tuition-free college credentials. Employers are struggling to find enough people to fill positions in high demand fields, and the Work Ready Scholarship can make it easier to earn the credentials needed to qualify for great jobs in five career fields. Those fields include healthcare, business/IT, advanced manufacturing, transportation/logistics, and construction trades.
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College offers more than 120 certificates and diplomas that qualify for the Work Ready Scholarship. The college is holding convenient information sessions so interested people can learn more about the program and talk to an advisor about how to enroll. The sessions will be held as follows:
Elizabethtown Towne Mall
July 20 and 21 from noon until 7:30 p.m.
July 22 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College – Room 212, Regional Postsecondary Center
July 24 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Students can also learn more about the Work Ready Scholarship at www.workreadykentucky.com, or text JOBSKY to 66186. Or they can call ECTC at 270-769-2371.
