Electric cars: Ford builds new factories in the United States

Ford is investing in new plants in the United States
$ 11.4 billion for electric drive

Ford builds new electric car plant in the United States. In addition, three battery plants are being developed with a total capacity of 129 GWh.

In Europe, Ford manufactures an electric car based on VW-licensed MEB (Modular Electrical Construction Tool) at its flagship plant in Cologne. But the manufacturer is announcing a new era in the United States.

Named the “Blue Oval City” – the brand logo – a new car plant and battery factory is being built near Stanton, Tennessee, USA. Nearly 6,000 new jobs will be created there, with production of the next generation electric-powered F-Series pickups set to begin in 2025.

Ford builds two battery factories in Glendale, Kentucky. The name “Blue Oval SK Battery Park” refers to a collaborative partner. The battery is manufactured by Ford in conjunction with the invention of the South Korean company SK. Americans promise 5,000 new jobs for Kentucky location. The three new battery plants together are expected to achieve a capacity of 129 gigawatt hours per year.

The new plants are part of an already announced strategy under which Ford wants to invest a total of $ 30 billion in electric power by 2025. By 2030, 40 to 50 percent of all new Fords are expected to be battery-powered.

Conclusion

Ford relies on America’s electromopility. Along with the SK innovation, $ 11.4 billion will be invested in new plants for the production of cars and batteries. Nearly 11,000 new jobs are to be created.
