Gil Niceley Sr. Industrial Park

Overview

The Gil Niceley Sr. Industrial Park is Elizabethtown’s premier destination for industrial innovation and economic growth. Managed by the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation, this strategically located development serves as a hub for progress, honoring a legacy of service while fostering the future of local commerce.

Strategic Location

The park offers unparalleled logistical advantages for businesses looking to expand or relocate:

  • Acreage: Spanning approximately 150 acres of prime industrial land.
  • Connectivity: Situated along South Ring Road and CSX Railroad, the property directly abuts the Western Kentucky Parkway, providing high-visibility and rapid transit access.
  • Integration: The park seamlessly adjoins existing foundation-owned land, creating a cohesive environment for large-scale industrial operations.

A Legacy of Excellence

The park is named in honor of Gil Niceley Sr., a man whose life embodied the values of courage and community commitment.

  • Military Heroism: A distinguished member of the 509th Composite Group, Niceley served his country with valor, notably flying in the Straight Flush over Japan during WWII.
  • Civic Leadership: As an original stockholder of the first Elizabethtown Industrial and Development Foundation, Niceley was a foundational figure in the city’s economic history.
  • Community Roots: A devoted resident and long-time educator at Severns Valley Baptist Church, his dedication to unity and progress serves as the “guiding light” for this development.

Economic Impact

Established in late 2024, the Gil Niceley Sr. Industrial Park is designed to be a catalyst for:

  • Innovation: Providing the infrastructure necessary for modern manufacturing and technology firms.
  • Opportunity: Creating new jobs and strengthening the economic fabric of the Elizabethtown area.
  • Future Growth: Ensuring that the community remains a competitive leader in the region’s industrial landscape.

“We believe that this Industrial Park will serve as a hub of innovation and growth… inspiring future generations to remember and honor exceptional individuals like Gil Niceley Sr.”
Andy Games, President & COO, Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation

Bronze-Qualified Site

Gil Niceley Sr. Industrial Park is a designated Bronze-Qualified Site through the CSX Select Site program. This recognition reflects the park’s readiness for rail-served industrial development and positions it for greater visibility among site selection consultants and corporate decision-makers. The CSX Select Site initiative — developed in partnership with Global Location Strategies — evaluates and promotes high-quality properties throughout the CSX service area, categorizing them based on rail access and industrial potential.
