Industrial Foundation Board of Directors names new member, officers

The Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation (EHCIF) is pleased to announce that Greg Pawley has been named chairman of the Board of Directors.
Pawley joined the board in 2010 and most recently served as vice chairman. He replaces as chairman Greg Jenkins, who joined the board in 2001 and had served as chairman since 2005. Jenkins will remain a member of the board.
Pawley is president of The Cecilian Bank, and his dedication to the local community is highlighted by his current and past service to a number of organizations including the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce, Elizabethtown Rotary Club, United Way of Central Kentucky and many others.
“It is a privilege to work with the foundation board of directors, and I’m honored to serve as chairman,” Pawley said. “I look forward to continuing to support both existing and prospective businesses, and to helping position our community for even greater economic prosperity,” Pawley said.
Matt Hess has been named vice chairman of the board. An attorney with Bell, Hess and VanZant, Hess joined the board seven years ago.
The board also welcomed new member Ed Poppe, Elizabethtown city administrator. Poppe replaces Charlie Bryant, also with the City of Elizabethtown. Bryant served the maximum seven three-year terms on the board and will continue to support the foundation as an emeritus member of the board.
“Greg Pawley, Matt Hess and Ed Poppe each have served our community with distinction for years,” said EHCIF President and COO Rick Games. “The foundation’s mission of creating jobs is undoubtedly in good hands under their leadership.”
