On December 2, 2013, The Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation hosted a luncheon at The Historic State Theater in recognition of the contributions made to our community by the manufacturing/service providers in Elizabethtown. The guest speaker was Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson who spoke about economic development initiatives at the State level and his involvement in helping to recruit new industry to Elizabethtown and the Glendale Megasite. He also spoke about the need to invest in the local community in order to support the infrastructure in place and to expand where needed. Lt. Governor Abramson also recognized Structures USA as a new manufacturing facility that has just located in Elizabethtown and brought attention to the fact that several industries in the area are currently expanding and creating many jobs in the community. This is the second year for the luncheon and our plans are to make it an annual event.
