Manufacturing Showcased at Hardin Chamber

The number of industry-leading companies right here in Elizabethtown and Hardin County is a point of pride for our community. If you missed the Manufacturing Showcase at the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce luncheon last week, here’s a look at the products and companies featured.

AGC Automotive Americas offers improved safety, comfort, style and connectivity through innovative glazing products and solutions. Products manufactured in Elizabethtown include the displayed rear windshield (darker tint for foreign markets) and tempered glass, which provides safety and strength. In the event of any breakage, the tempered glass fragments are granular.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
With more than 85 years of brake design and production expertise, Akebono manufactures a wide range of brake friction materials and foundation brake assemblies, inducing disc brake calipers and drum brakes.
Altec is a leading provider of products and services to the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, contractor and lights and signs markets. Altec is especially known for manufacturing bucket trucks. The company houses manufacturing and engineering operations in two buidings in the T.J. Patterson Industrial Park. In addition, the Altec Kentucky Service Center opened in Elizabethtown in 2016.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Amaray makes a variety of injection molded plastic products in Elizabethtown. This includes media cases and packaging components for household products like baby wipes, disinfectant wipes and condiment toppers. Among the larger products made are plastic trays for commercial beverage coolers.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Dow has been a part of the Elizabethtown community since 1963. In all, about 1,000 different silicon-based products are made at the Elizabethtown facility. These include silicone sealants, caulks and coatings that protect homes and skyscrapers around the world from the damaging effects of weather.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Established in 1977, E’town Truss manufacturers roof and floor trusses at its Valley Creek Road location in Elizabethtown.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Netherlands-based Eurotrol provides worldwide markets with artificial blood samples used to ensure the precision and accuracy of in vitro diagnostics equipment. Eurotrol opened its Elizabethtown distribution center in early 2018. A leader in a thriving industry, Eurotrol recently was honored with a 2017 NL Packaging Award for its ACU-DROP II, which stores two substances in separate chambers and allows for fast, easy mising without the user coming into contact with the substances.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Operating globally, Fischbach guarantees the highest quality cartridges systems on the market. Fischbach is known for cartridges for caulks, sealants and adhesives and high quality caulking guns.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Flex Films joined the Elizabethtown and Hardin County community in 2010. The Elizabethtown plant makes a variety of films, including metalized films, for the flexible packaging for food, household goods and other products, from balloons to tote bags.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Gates Corporation, one of the largest manufacturers of automotive and industrial belts and hoses, produces at its Elizabethtown facility the belts used in Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Other highly engineered products made at the Elizabethtown plant include the Gates Carbon Drive Bicycles System, which is used in a growing number of high-end bicycle models.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
A leading supplier to the global commercial transportation industry, Hendrickson manufactures suspension systems and components for heavy-duty vehicles. The Elizabethtown facility manufactures suspension components which are shipped to sister facilities for final assembly.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Metalsa’s Elizabethtown plant manufactures chassis frames for the Ford F-150, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. With an Elizabethtown presence dating back to 1994, Metalsa is the largest manufacturer in Hardin County and one of the largest automotive suppliers in Kentucky.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Modern Plating Coatings & Finishes provides metal surface finishing for a variety of components – from small nuts and bolts, to custom stampings, to brake lines and larger components – to ensure industry corrosion requirements are exceeded. About 95 percent of the company’s clients are in the automotive industry, and if you own a vehicle assembled in North America, there’s a good chance you’re counting on parts finished at this Elizabethtown plant.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Mouser Cabinetry manufactures high quality, custom cabinetry as well as decorative accessories for kitchens, bathrooms, entertainment areas, storage areas and other rooms. Established in 1955, Elizabethtown-based Mouser Cabinetry is marketed in the eastern two-thirds of the United States.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Quest Industries, which established its Elizabethtown facility in 2013, decorates bottles for a long list of clients in the spirits and cosmetics industries.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Structures USA manufactures galvanized or painted steel and aluminum tubular structures including transmission, substation products, traffic poles, lighting poles, catenary poles, over-head sign structures, signal strain poles and other fabricated structures.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Summit Polymers is a leading Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, specializing in interior components and systems. Established in 1999, its Elizabethtown plant serves a number of customers including Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant. Summit Polymers Elizabethtown produces an average 1.5 million parts per month, including parts for the Ford F-250 Super Duty.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
WL Plastics is one of the largest manufacturers of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe in North America, with plants in Elizabethtown and six other U.S. cities. The HDPE pipe is used for water, oil, gas and natural gas distribution and other applications.
