Metalsa Adding 300 Jobs at Elizabethtown Plant
Mexico-based manufacturer Metalsa is adding 300 new jobs to its Elizabethtown location, the company announced today in a news release.
The new jobs are needed to meet the increased demand for the company’s signature product — vehicle frames for light- and heavy-weight trucks, according to the news release.
All positions are full-time, permanent openings for entry-level production technician. Qualified employees are able to receive a welding certification at no cost to them, and eligible union employees may also apply to an apprenticeship program that provides payment for further training in tooling or maintenance, the release stated.
After one year of continuous, full-time employment employees may also receive more than $5,000 tuition reimbursement for Metalsa-related training courses.
In addition to the 300 production technician positions available, Metalsa is also hiring for skilled trades positions including maintenance and tooling, and salaried positions in operations, quality assurance, engineering and more, according to the release.
“We aren’t just filling jobs. We’re building careers,” said Linda Aubrey, a member of the human development team at Metalsa.
