Patricia Krausman Receives the 2014 Allied Professional of the Year Award from the Kentucky Association of Economic Development
Patricia Krausman, Center Director, Kentucky Small Business Development Center, Elizabethtown, KY was recently awarded the 2014 Professional of the Year Award from the Kentucky Association of Economic Development at their annual conference held in Louisville. In presenting this award, Hal Goode, President and CEO of the KAED stated, “A key to any successful location is the help, assistance and expertise offered by economic development professionals in areas such as utilities, job training, construction, education, government and research. These consummate professional are invaluable in a community’s development efforts. In honor of the contributions these professionals make to the field, KAED has created the Allied Professional of the Year.” “Patricia Krausman has been with the Kentucky Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) for 21 years where she has provided business management consulting and training. She also serves as the statewide program manager for the KSBDC Veterans Assistance Program. Prior to joining the KSBDC, Patricia worked to support small businesses in both the for-profit and nonprofit arena, working for Metro United Way, Safeguard Business Systems and others. She has served on many local, state and national committees and task forces related to small business and entrepreneurship. Patricia has helped develop and coordinate several statewide initiatives, including KSBDC programs for veterans, agricultural diversification and advanced professional development for the network. Patricia is a four-time recipient of the Million Dollar Loan Club, National Runner-up in the Bank of America Client Success Competition, UK College of Business Judy Haywood Valuable Staffer Award and the KSBDC Sutton Landry State Star Award.”
Mr. Goode also read a statement about her knowledge and professionalism from Tom Lund, Executive Director of the Lebanon Marion County Industrial Foundation stated “We have worked on many projects that include: healthcare, retail, manufacturing, wine making and bourbon making and she has always displayed the knowledge and special interest required to produce a valid business plan. The projects I have worked with Patricia on have resulted in successful business ventures that have shown proven results based on conclusions.
In his endorsement of Patricia for this award, Rick Games, President of the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation stated, “I have had the pleasure of working with Patricia for several years as the Director of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center in Elizabethtown. She is a highly proficient individual and is always supportive of EHCIF in our endeavors of working with industry in our community.” He further stated, “Patricia has always been available to meet with new start-up companies interested in locating in our area and has been a big asset in directing them as to how to prepare their business plan, apply for, secure start-up capital, and be available to assist in any way necessary to help the client realize success.”
