President's Message 3rd Quarter 2014–Rick Games
As the 3rd Quarter of 2014 has ended, we are pleased to say that activity in the industrial park is still strong. Quest Industries held their grand opening on August 1 with a celebration attended by many community representatives and Governor Steve Beshear. We have several companies in the process of expanding their facilities and the EHCIF/Workforce Building should be completed by the end of the year.
The Hardin County Facility Managers Association has started their new year and had a great informational meeting with a representative from “Where Opportunity Knox” highlighting their veteran/military spouse employment program. The Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation Training Consortium has started a new year and is working closely with the Workforce Solutions Department at ECTC.
I have participated in marketing functions with Kentucky United and attended the first meeting of the Kentucky Automotive Industry Association (KAIA).
