President's Message–Rick Games

These past few months have brought a lot of positive announcements affecting the Quality of Life in Elizabethtown.  A few of the announcements were:

The large donation to the Hardin Memorial Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The announcement of a new restaurant and several new shopping options along with condominiums for the downtown area.

The recent the announcement of the new multiplex theater.

These projects all serve as an integral part of the growth of our community and will continue to enhance the momentum that is just beginning.
October was declared as Manufacturing Month in Elizabethtown by Mayor Berger.  She stated that manufacturing continues to play a vital role in the growth of our economy, and we wish each of our local manufacturers continued success.
EHCIF and our Facility Managers recently met to discuss workforce issues in our community.  A large crowd shared many ideas on the development of our current and future workforce.
We continue to work on improving the flow of traffic in our industrial area and are working closely with city and state officials to make improvements to enhance the traffic flow.
Additionally, there is still a lot of momentum in the industrial park with expansions, etc.  Elizabethtown is a thriving community and we have much to celebrate.
