President's Message
On January 6, 2016, the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation celebrated its 60 year anniversary of dedication to a simple yet powerful mission—creating jobs for the community. You can read our previously published press release later in this newsletter. We are very proud of the growth in our community over these 60 years and we are working to insure that growth will continue.
As of February, 2016, The EHCIF has completed one year in their new office space located at 233 Ring Road. This office space has allowed us to hold meetings and work with our clients in a more effective way and has also given us the opportunity to be more responsive to the needs of manufacturers in our area.
We have several facilities that are currently under expansion and we are excited about the prospect of what the future holds for development in Elizabethtown. In fact, the City of Elizabethtown issued building permits in 2015 to nine companies in the industrial parks for expansions totaling over $14 million. As of mid-March 2016 permits of over $6 million to 5 companies have been issued.
In closing, I want to remind all that if you are considering an expansion of your facility, adding new equipment or additional workforce, contact me so that I can arrange a meeting with you to discuss further. We need to get with you in the initial planning stage to be able to assist
If you feel that there are in additional ways in which we here at EHCIF can assist you, please give us a call or send us an email. I can be reached at rgames@eifky.org and Cherri can be reached at cherri@eifky.org. We would love to hear from you.
