EHCIF Board names Andrew Games as President and welcomes new board members
This week, the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation (EHCIF) Board of Directors announced the promotion of Vice President Andrew (Andy) C. Games to the position of President and COO. In his new role, Andy Games will succeed his father, long-time president Rick Games, who will now serve as Vice President. The decision was formalized by a vote during the April EHCIF annual board meeting.
“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the entire EHCIF Board of Directors for their unwavering support and trust in me as I step into this new role,” said Andy Games. “As I embark on this new chapter after three fulfilling years as Vice President, I do so with great enthusiasm and optimism for the opportunities that lie ahead. With the continued collaboration and dedication of our board and community partners, I am confident that we will build upon our past accomplishments and achieve even greater milestones together.”
Andy Games has served as Vice President of EHCIF since 2021. The role was established amid widespread growth in the area’s industrial sector, exemplified by the development of the BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale.
An active volunteer in the community, Andy Games is a former board member for the Elizabethtown Education Foundation, serving as board chairman from 2014-2020. He is also a board member for the Down Syndrome Association of the Heartland and is a member of the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Board of Directors. Additionally, Games is a Deacon at Crossroads Baptist Church of Elizabethtown. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and Elizabethtown High School.
“Given the extensive development underway in our region’s industrial sector, it’s paramount that EHCIF continues to be led by capable hands,” said EHCIF Board Chairman Matt Hess. “We have full confidence that Andy is the right person for the job.”
During the annual board meeting, personnel changes were also made to the EHCIF Board of Directors. Sue French, who has served on the board for seven terms over 21 years, concluded her tenure with the board and was presented with a plaque for her service.
“It has been an honor to work alongside dedicated colleagues and visionary leaders, helping to shape the landscape of our region’s industrial sector, and by extension, the quality of life here in Elizabethtown and Hardin County,” French said.
Amid French’s departure, the board voted in Chris Carter, a partner at Cerity Partners in Elizabethtown. Carter brings over 25 years of expertise in advising business owners, corporate executives and high-net-worth families. In addition to his role as an outsourced CFO for small businesses and family groups, he has actively participated in various professional committees within the Kentucky Society of CPAs. Carter’s community involvement extends to organizations such as the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as a Chamber Officer.
“Sue’s unwavering commitment has played a pivotal role in shaping the success of our organization and the prosperity of our community for over two decades. As we bid farewell to Sue, we warmly welcome Chris to the board,” Hess said. “We are confident that Chris will continue the tradition of excellence set forth by this board and contribute significantly to our ongoing mission.”
