Cerity Partners Presents at Facility Managers’ Meeting
Our thanks to Kelly Emerine and Angie Duncan of Cerity Partners for presenting during our May Facility Managers’ Meeting. With offices throughout the U.S., including an office on Ring Road in Elizabethtown, Cerity Partners offers financial planning with investment solutions designed to grow, protect, and conserve the wealth of their clients. The Elizabethtown office was formerly Stiles, Carter & Associates before merging with ARGI Financial in 2019. ARGI Financial merged with Cerity Partners last year.
In addition to sponsoring and presenting at the meeting, Cerity Partners now has a representative on the EHCIF Board of Directors. Chris Carter, a partner at Cerity Partners, joined the board following the departure of Sue French, who served for seven terms over 21 years. Carter officially assumed his role during the EHCIF annual board meeting last month, which also saw the promotion of Vice President Andy Games to President and COO.
During their remarks, Emerine and Duncan discussed best practices in attracting and retaining employees in today’s workplace and touted the ways in which providing financial wellness in benefits packages for employees can effectively address these challenges.
“It’s becoming one of the most sought-after benefits that employees request and want from their employer,” Duncan said. “It’s something a lot of people don’t have access to.”
Cerity Partners offers financial services to employers as part of their employees’ benefits package, such as retirement plan counseling, financial wellness coaching, executive financial counseling, and personal financial planning. Other benefit plan offerings that can help attract and retain talent include non-qualified deferred compensation plans, long-term incentive plans, and employee stock ownership plans, Duncan said.
According to Duncan, including financial services in benefits packages can benefit both employees and employers by reducing delayed retirements, increasing productivity, decreasing absenteeism, and lowering healthcare benefit costs.

Also during the meeting, Corey Bond and Tom Sanders from the City of Elizabethtown’s Wastewater Department provided a brief update regarding new sewer requirements in the city.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Games briefly informed attendees about upcoming communications regarding Manufacturing Month in October. Building on last year’s efforts, EHCIF plans to continue fostering partnerships between local schools and manufacturers to organize plant tours for students and school visits by industrial leaders, aiming to expose students to career opportunities in the industrial sector. Last year, the Hardin County, Elizabethtown Independent, and Meade County school systems participated, and this year, Fort Knox schools are expected to join as well, Games said.
Monthly Facility Managers’ Meetings are set to resume in August, with the next meeting set for Aug. 15. For more information, or if interested in attending the next meeting, please contact the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation at 270-737-0300.
