Soudal Expansion Brings North American HQ to Elizabethtown

Soudal, a Belgian-based adhesive company, has completed its 11,000 square foot expansion which will house their North American corporate office.

This expansion demonstrates the healthy manufacturing environment that makes Elizabethtown one of the nation’s most sought after locations for industrial facilities.

Joe Lepire, North American Regional Director of Soudal USA, cuts ceremonial ribbon at the grand opening of Soudal’s latest office expansion.

“We’ve invested $2.8 million in this project to expand and increase capacity,” said Joe Lepire, North American Regional Director of Soudal USA. “This new office building and future expansions will help position our organization to better support our customers and meet product demand, and we’re glad we’ve been able to do that in Elizabethtown.”

Located at 350 Ring Road within Elizabethtown’s industrial complex, construction on this state-of-the-art facility began in January of 2020. The project was designed and managed by Jenkins-Essex Construction of Elizabethtown.

“Jenkins-Essex is proud to bring another landmark building to the City of Elizabethtown,” stated Greg Jenkins, President of Jenkins-Essex Construction. “We want to thank our great partners at Soudal for allowing us to bring this project to life.”

The Elizabethtown Industrial Foundation continues to play a key role in promoting the community as an attractive destination for manufacturers worldwide.

“This investment demonstrates Soudal’s commitment to our community and its residents.” said Matt Hess, Vice Chairman of the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation. “At the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation, we’re committed to supporting the growth of advanced manufacturing and congratulate Soudal on their continued success.”

While Soudal will benefit from a newly-built efficient facility, the City of Elizabethtown will continue its trend of community growth as new jobs will further support the vibrant local economy.

“We are grateful that Soudal has continued to support and invest in our community,” said Elizabethtown Mayor Jeff Gregory. “Their choice to expand in Elizabethtown is a strong testament to our pro-business climate and quality workforce.”

“We’re celebrating not just the grand opening of our new office building, but also the opening of a new chapter for Soudal USA.” said Joe Lepire. “By partnering with the city of Elizabethtown and with the great state of Kentucky, we are poised for rapid growth. And while this bill building in of itself is an excellent achievement, it is but the first of many steps that we will take in in our growth pattern here in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. We’re just getting started.”
